I needed a place to share my creations with more people, so Jord began.
After years of gifting things I made to family and friends and hearing "you could sell this". Near the beginning of the pandemic, I finally decided I should try. I quit my job and focused on my hobby. Two years later and countless pep-talks like, "sh$% what am I doing?!"... I finally have a descant hold on things (most the time).
Personally, I am very passionate about zero waste and, not just having low environmental impact but creating a positive one.
I've done my best to bring these values to Jord as well.
I purchase yarn from farmers who grow organically. Only turning them into products when someone has requested them in order to reduce wastage. Using only compostable materials from the products themselves to the labels and packaging.
